Why Writer Pro

Built for the one skill that's hardest to fake

Writing improves through repetition under real constraints — not through a tool that quietly fixes your sentences. Writer Pro removes every crutch.

01

Real exam timing

20 minutes for Task 1, 40 for Task 2 — or set your own. The countdown is visible throughout, with a visual warning in the final five minutes.

02

Live word counter

Track your count against the 150 / 250-word minimums in real time, without any style suggestions or grammar flags interrupting your flow.

03

Distraction-free editor

A plain answer sheet: no autocorrect, no red underlines, no rewriting. Exactly what the real exam interface gives you — nothing more.

04

Examiner-style prompts

Task 1 prompts cover line graphs, bar charts, tables, maps, and processes. Task 2 covers opinion, discussion, problem-solution, and two-part essays.

05

PDF export

Every finished attempt exports as a clean PDF containing the original question and your full answer — ready to print, submit, or send to a tutor.

06

Attempt history

Attempts are saved to your device automatically, so you can track how many prompts you've completed and revisit past answers.

The process

Four steps, every time

The same loop the real test uses — repeated until it's second nature.

01

Pick a prompt

Choose Task 1 or Task 2, or let the dashboard select one at random for surprise practice.

02

Start the clock

The countdown begins the moment you open the editor — exactly as it would in the test centre.

03

Write, uninterrupted

Watch your live word count. No spellcheck squiggles, no suggestions, no AI help.

04

Export your PDF

Submit when the timer ends (or early) and download a PDF with the question and your answer.

About Writer Pro

Writer Pro exists for one reason: IELTS Writing is a timed, unassisted skill, and most practice tools quietly break that constraint by correcting, suggesting, or rewriting as you type. We built the opposite — a platform that stays out of your way.

What we don't do

No grammar correction. No spellcheck underlines. No AI-generated rewrites or suggestions. No "improve this sentence" buttons. If a feature would let a model do part of the writing for you, it isn't in Writer Pro.

What we do

Realistic prompts

Every Task 1 and Task 2 prompt is written in the register and structure of the real exam.

Honest timing

20 minutes for Task 1, 40 for Task 2 by default, fully configurable for extra practice.

A visible word count

So you learn to feel out 150 and 250 words without counting on your fingers on test day.

A record of your work

Every finished attempt can be exported as a PDF — a paper trail you can bring to a tutor or a study group.

Who it's for

Self-studiers building a writing habit, students working with a tutor who wants clean PDF submissions, and classrooms that need a shared bank of timed prompts. Writer Pro scales from a single learner to a full cohort.
